Farewell Andy Knapp
andy.jpg

Our dear friend Andy passed away peacefully at home, with his family surrounding him, in the early hours of Monday, June 22nd.  We will all miss him greatly.

Andy's zest for life, work, fun, family and friends is legendary.  Andy has not wasted a minute of the gift of his life. His courage, optimism, strength and tenacity during all of his adventures have been, and will continue to be, an inspiration to all of us.

He is the embodiment of Midwest Mountaineering's motto: "Ask Us, We've Been There" and of our mission, "Sharing passion for the Outdoors".  His stories are legend, and they'll be told and retold over many years to come.  We're grateful for the 33 years he has devoted to Midwest Mountaineering and to the outdoor industry.  His contributions over the years are an example for us all.
